“I started in hair when I was thirteen at my mums salon working weekends and evenings after school and worked all the way until I was sixteen. By that time I was doing colours, blow drying and everyday tasks in the salon.

I left school at sixteen and decided to take the hairdressing route for two years at Umberto Giannini working on longer hair, hair ups and some avant grade styles. As much as I loved cutting women’s hair, I didn’t enjoy it as much as cutting men’s hair so I decided to have a go at barbering and seven years later, I’m still in the barbering industry.

Travelling is one of my favourite things to do. After working in Australia six years ago based in Sydney & Melbourne, I presented my work on various shows including American Crew & Barber expo showcasing to a wider audience and getting a feel for their much different hair culture.

I recently returned from Asia after travelling for three months around Thailand, Vietnam & Indonesia. I feel everyone should try and experience this if they can as it really pushes you out of your boundaries to meet and talk to new people, also to get a different perspective on life as it defiantly grounds you and makes you a better person in the long run!

My interests outside of the shop are fitness, football, music and fashion. I’ve always been creative I suppose. From a young age, I was diagnosed with ADHD. I felt it was a burden but I feel I can escape in hair and let my creativity come alive through my interests and work”.
