I have been a hair artist for 7 years, and started in the industry a little bit later than most at the age of 21. Doing hair was never my plan however I’m glad things turned out the way they did. When I moved to London, I originally only planned to stay for a short period of time. My goal was to improve my English then return to Spain to study Photography. I made the decision to stay longer and thankfully hairdressing found me, and I’m so grateful it did! Sometimes our original plans change and it’s hard to comprehend why at first, but I know in the future I’ll spend time studying photography and even combine both at some point, who knows!

I originally started my journey as a technician so my forte is definitely colour. However, in the last year I have also spent time training my cutting skills so I can be confident doing both, and make hair more custom to each client. The best part of my job is making people be true to themselves. Giving someone confidence or the push to feel good is so fulfilling….why don’t you want to make someone happy if you can? It’s a no-brainer!

My best piece of hair advice would be that hair care not only comes from the outside, but comes from the inside too. Fuelling our body properly, making sure we also have a balanced lifestyle and listen to when we need rest will affect our hair in the long run. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that hair products are not that important just because you’re not eating well, but everything is about keeping both in check. My “go to” products are shampoo and conditioner. You can’t expect a recipe to work for everyone, and because I work with different textures I can’t generalise and only pick one for all. And that’s why I said shampoo and conditioner; having a healthy scalp is vital for any hair type.

I’m not really too sure who my style icon is but I’m inspired by nature, architecture, anime, music, the universe and humans. There’s always something special and beautiful around us, it all depends how we perceive it. I tend to go by however I’m feeling that day. This will have an influence on my work, clothes and make-up. There’s no two of the same day so it changes up on a daily basis.
